NUDC is a non-profit organization that conducts research to educate, develop best practices, and guide efforts that will promote diversity in the utility industry in the areas of governance, employment, procurement, language access/customer service and philanthropy.

Organizational Summary
NUDC’s nationally focused programs include research projects, webinars, conferences and networking gatherings to increase communication and share best practices among industry professionals and employees, diverse suppliers, corporations and agencies.  NUDC’s annual conference, the Brooklyn Brainstorm, creates a unique and valuable forum for exploration of key topics of workforce and supplier diversity.

The National Utilities Diversity Council (NUDC) began in 2007 as the outgrowth of the Utility Markets Access Program (UMAP) Ad Hoc Committee of the National Association for Regulated Utility Commissioners (NARUC).  Since that time, NUDC has become a national non-profit organization as well as a trusted resource in diversity to the utilities and communications industries.
