Robert H. Mulz, more commonly known as Bob, was born at home on 16 July 1944 in Brooklyn N.Y. Enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserve at Freeport NY in January 1960. Upon the completion of High School, continued to enter college at the NY University.  As the Vietnam War heated up, Mulz was called to active duty in March 1966. June 1967 brought him to the guided missile destroyer USS Henry B. Wilson DDG7 followed by several deployments to the "ugly war” in Southeast Asia aboard USS Robison DDG12 and USS Hoel DDG13. Retired after 27+ years, distinguished and honorable service as a Master Chief Fire Control Man (E-9). Received two NAVAL Commendation medals and five NAVY achievement medals with combat V for superior service along with many medals and other personal letters of commendation. Bob, in addition to being a successful small business owner and community activist, elected President of The San Diego Elite SDVOB Network in October 2002 and under his leadership of the Network his accomplishments have been recognized, by both State and Federal entities concerned with veteran affairs, as the most well organized and effective organization of its type in the Nation and in the State of California. As a result, Bob's counsel has enabled a chapter of the Elite SDVOB Network and is now serving SDVOB’s in 40 States. Bob continues to own and run a successful small business now in its 32nd year under his management.
