Fair Pay: The American Water Journey
Valoria Armstrong, Chief Inclusion Officer, Vice President, External Affairs at American Water;
NUDC Board Member
Nicholl Salamone, Vice President of Benefits and Compensation at American Water
Kate Dephilippo, Director Compensation at American Water
The average woman in the U.S. makes 82 cents for every dollar her white male counterpart makes, and the inequity does not end with this number. Black women make 63 cents for every dollar and Latinas make 55 cents for every dollar. Latina women make barely half of what their white male counterparts are paid for the same work.
What is being done in the utilities and communications industry to address fair pay? Several years ago, American Water, the nation’s largest and geographically diverse publicly held water and wastewater company started their journey to fair pay. NUDC is pleased to have Valoria Armstrong, Nicholl Salamone and Kate Dephilippo from American Water explain their strategies and the actions the company is taking. Join us as they discuss their commitment to Inclusion & Diversity including their journey to fair pay! This webinar is ideal for human resource, compensation, I&D professionals along with those on executive leadership teams and regulators.
