As we search for ways to increase the utilities workforce now and in the coming years, creating successful pathways for returning citizens (formerly incarcerated individuals) can have a significant and positive impact on companies, communities and individuals.

A key component of this involves training programs that allow for future employment opportunities. Join NUDC for a deep dive discussion into El Camino College’s welding program at Terminal Island Correctional Facility. We’ll hear directly from the welding instructor Erik Langarcia where he teaches fundamental to advanced welding techniques.

We will also hear from the JPI Group, as they discuss best practices for effective follow up after training, to ensure that returning citizens have the right support and wrap around services.
