James “Jim” Niemiec is vice president and chief supply chain officer for Entergy, where he oversees the company’s procurement and supply chain organization. His responsibilities include supply chain strategy, supply chain operations, supply chain commercial operations, strategic procurement, nuclear supply chain, supply chain supplier diversity and sustainability.
Niemiec joined Entergy in June 2023 and reports to Jason Chapman, senior vice president and chief technology and business services officer.
Before joining Entergy, Niemiec served as a supply chain executive for multiple Fortune 500 companies. From 2019 until May 2023, he was chief procurement officer and vice president of operational services at Southern California Edison, an investor-owned utility organization with approximately 14,000 employees. Among the companies he previously served as a supply chain leader were MGM Resorts, Hewlett-Packard and Live Nation Entertainment. In addition, he worked as an engagement manager with McKinsey & Company.
Niemiec received a law degree from Stanford Law School and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science and economics from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.
