Rafael Sanchez is President and CEO of Capital Turnaround Group, Inc (www.capitalturnaroundgroup.com) which specializes in turnaround management of for-profit and non-profit entities. Mr. Sanchez is considered an expert in financial work outs and has successfully owned, managed and assisted companies in realizing true economic success. Mr. Sanchez has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. He began his career at Bank of America, where he worked for 20 years and served in numerous capacities in management, private banking and lending, including his last position as Vice President in the Regional Commercial Banking Unit for the last 10 years of his career.
In addition to his active professional career, he has served on numerous civic boards and has received numerous awards for his civic and community involvement. He was named Board Member Emeritus by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2008 for his outstanding service as Board Finance Chair. For his life's work in promoting economic development and educational opportunities, Mr. Sanchez was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the California State University in 2006. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the National Utilities Diversity Council (NUDC).
He is Past-President of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the past Legislative Chair for the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce. He is a co-founder of the Political Action Committees (PAC's) of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce and the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He is a founding board member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP). Mr. Sanchez received his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Chico in Modern Languages. He resides in Sacramento, California.
